A small study conducted by researchers at the University of Portsmouth has found that reflexology may be as effective as painkillers as a treatment for acute pain. The findings show that reflexology reduces pain sensitivity and also suggest that it could be helpful in treating pain conditions like osteoarthritis either as a treatment on its own or in addition to medication.
